First Time

Life is really short. I’ve never heard anyone say, “I feel like this year has just dragged by,” but I’ve heard a lot say, “This year has flown by.” This life will be over soon and there is no reset button. Even though life is so short, we tend not to think too much about how quickly it will be over. We want to be ready not only to die but also to really live in the short number of days we have.

We don’t want to waste our lives on trivial diversions. We don’t want to spend all our time looking for comfort and fleeting pleasures. We believe God invites us to have a joy in this life that is not dictated to us by circumstances.

We believe real life is only to be found in Jesus Christ. He was crucified to bear the penalty of our sins. He offers us redemption, forgiveness and reconciliation. He offers us the ultimate opportunity: to know the living God. All that Christ offers us goes far beyond what can be mentioned in this space.
